7 zip - The best software for zipping and un-zipping

Story number 1

Few days back Jeff downloaded a file from internet having extension of .UDF. After googling for at least 15 mins he came to know that it's an archive file. He was searching an unzip software to extract that particular file. But he was not a very technical person to find out a proper software to unzip it.

Manoj was in hurry in office he have to present a seminar in 30 mins.He told his colleague to mail the zip file.Now when he was going to open the zip file , winzip is showing that trial period is over he need to register.Manoj does not have that much time to either register or buy a zip utility.

• Packing / unpacking: 7z, XZ, BZIP2, GZIP, TAR, ZIP and WIM
• Unpacking only: ARJ, CAB, CHM, CPIO, CramFS, DEB, DMG, FAT, HFS, ISO, LZH, LZMA, MBR, MSI, NSIS, NTFS, RAR, RPM, SquashFS, UDF, VHD, WIM, XAR and Z.

First download the .exe file and install the software.

Now if you want to zip a folder right click on that folder , go the 7zip option now choose archive it.

Then the application will open there you can choose the mode of zipping and the type of zipping.You can even make it a encrypted also.

If you want to extract a zip file (rar,zip,7zip,ISO,DMG etc) you just need to right click on the file and go to 7zip option and click on the extract option.You are done.

I have used so many zip utility but I found this to be the best available in market and most of all it's free.Though Jzip is similar to this software, it has it own crowd. So uninstall all the pirated zip utility from your machine and install 7-zip and dont forget to let me know your comment about it.
